3. Acknowledgment of Risk

All participants are required to sign a Big Backyard Adventures Acknowledgment of Risk Form before participating in any trip. This is mandatory and in addition to any waiver or acknowledgment required by third-party outfitters or guides associated with your trip.

The form outlines the inherent risks of outdoor activities, including but not limited to:

  • Weather-related dangers (e.g., storms, flash floods, extreme temperatures)

  • Physical challenges (e.g., falls, injuries, exposure to wildlife)

  • Equipment-related risks (e.g., failure or misuse of equipment)

By signing the Acknowledgment of Risk Form, participants agree to assume all risks associated with the adventure and release Big Backyard Adventures from liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the trip. Any participant who does not sign the form will not be allowed to participate in the trip, and no refunds will be provided in such cases.

4. Weather and Activity Conditions

While we plan our trips around the best seasons and weather conditions for each activity, outdoor adventures can be unpredictable. Some activities may need to be canceled or rerouted due to weather conditions.

If a trip or activity is affected by weather, BBA will attempt to reschedule or pivot to an alternative experience. Refunds will be considered based on our Cancellation Policy if no alternatives are available.

5. Health and Safety

  • Assumption of Risk: Participation in outdoor adventures involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, extreme weather, or natural hazards. By participating, you assume full responsibility for these risks.

  • Safety: You agree to follow all safety guidelines, instructions, and precautions provided by our guides or staff. BBA reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to comply with safety rules or puts themselves or others at risk.

6. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing Cancel-For-Any-Reason Travel Insurance to protect your investment, especially in the event of weather, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. BBA is not responsible for personal losses, medical expenses, or trip cancellations due to unforeseen events.

8. Participant Conduct
